Reading Comics, Pierce Hargan, 2013
This is a piece I did as a donation to the kids at Sandy Hook Elementary. Whats better than reading comics? Beats me, I have no clue. I hope they like it. Can you find all the comic refrences?

oh and btw the girl is a younger version of the main character of the comic I’m writing, Alexandria.

Franz Kafka
Certainly within my top 5 writers. Reading Kafka changed the way I write and what I want to write about. Other than Akira Kurosawa and Jose Saramago, Kafka may have the greatest influence on my work outside of comics.

My cover of Moebius’s Starwatcher piece seen here. I had a lot of fun doing this. I really tried hard to find a place where my line could be both controlled and precise, and loose and free. It’s hard to explain, but I’ve been really interested in the tension between two lines and how they work together.I don’t really like the lettering on the right hand side but it was fun to experiment .
